The owner of a Katonah consignment business has been sentenced for failure to pay New York State taxes, according to an announcement by Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty. Barry Shevit, 68, was sentenced to five years probation after previously pleading guilty to one count of repeated failure to file personal returns, a class "E" felony.
