Connor O'Brien of Norwalk and Peter Richards from Westport each made a strong showing at the 13th Carter Cup Wednesday at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J. O'Brien and Richards finished in a three-way tie for seventh, shooting a 5-over-par 148 over two rounds. Christian Cavaliere of Katonah, N.Y., also carded a 5-over 148.
